Better World Productions is a global production company that uses theatre, film, literature, documentary and immersive storytelling to challenge and inspire audiences to build a better world.

With the drop in funding for the arts, and the corresponding proliferation of digital technology, artificial intelligence and streaming platforms built purely on commercial lines, the quality of content available to consumers has augmented in quantity but drastically fallen in quality.

The problem is particularly acute in content for children and young people, with basic competencies in storytelling, character development and high production values sorely missing. This matters not just for the entertainment we consume but, more critically, for the way in which it is ‘dumbing down’ our creative capacities, ability to think for ourselves, and to experience transformation in our engagement with the arts and culture. It is not just our brains at stake, it is our democracies and our lives.

Better World Productions seeks to build new financial models, educational outreach and accessibility to be able to commission a higher quality of cultural production more fitting to meeting the challenges and opportunities of our time.
