ENGLISH APERO
Get some real-world practise of your English with native English speakers in the stunning setting of Clos de Gaye and the Pyrénée mountains! Enjoy an evening on the terrace with our fabulous views, or elsewhere in the gardens of the property, with both local and international friends to encourage you to communicate and share your ideas through practical use of the language. We usually work through an article, poem or topic of interest, often connected to important issues in our world, and use it as a spark to see where the conversation takes us. All levels welcome and the price of the ticket includes a glass of wine!
Caroline Watson, the founder of The Centre for the Arts and Global Leadership, is also a qualified English teacher who has taught her native language for more than 20 years as far afield as Hong Kong, China, Spain, France, the UK and even in Tibet! A former IELTS examiner for the British Council who herself speaks 5 languages, and is raising a multi-cultural and multi-lingual family, Caroline knows intimately the challenges and opportunities of what it means to be globally and culturally aware and the joys of being able to exchange with friends from all over the world!
Each session is facilitated by Caroline and often includes one of our visiting artists or foreign friends to make our discussion rich and full of opportunity to practise with real native speakers :-)
Dates:
Wednesday 9th July 8 - 9.30pm
Wednesday 23rd July 8 - 9.30pm
Price: 10 euros, to include a glass of wine and snacks
