Leading YOUR future – personal development and career planning for teenagers, young people and their parents

€250.00

The pace of change is staggering today and it can leave young people and their parents at a loss as to how they think about their careers and future.

The founder of The Centre for the Arts and Global Leadership and Clos de Gaye, Caroline Watson, is an experienced entrepreneur with over 20 years experience of navigating an unconventional career.   With the growth of AI, increasing uncertainty and volatility in the world today, it is imperative that young people are equipped with the 21st century skills of leadership, creativity and collaboration in order to build a secure future for themselves.

Caroline has won multiple awards for her work, including being selected as a Young Global Leader of the prestigious World Economic Forum and is an expert in navigating less conventional career paths. She has a passion for encouraging young people to fulfill their potential and take a broad view of what their future can hold.

By contrast, parents can be especially anxious about how to navigate a fast-changing and unrecognisable world from when they themselves first joined the working world, and can often find it difficult to guide their children with vision, freedom and a lack of fear.

This workshop package gives your child the opportunity to come together with others to craft a plan for their futures, as well as two evening workshops to help parents support and navigate their children’s next steps.

At the end of the intervention, your child will come away with:

  • A roadmap for navigating life post-school

  • A deeper understanding of their individual aspirations and how they can use this to navigate career success

  • A more ‘entrepreneurial’ approach to their future job prospects

  • Tips for developing a ‘portfolio’ career

  • How to build a life, not just make a living

  • A financial plan to make it all happen

  • An understanding of the value of travel and ‘character development’ to make you stand out from the crowd

  • How to help your parents chill out and let you make your own decisions J

Parenting workshops will focus on:

  • The 21st century skills needed for success today

  • New ways of thinking about your child’s future

  • Facing your fears and thinking out of the box

  • How to support the development of your child’s potential
