Pre-Texts with Hannah Wilkoff
Have your child improve their English skills with the Pre-Texts methodology, developed by Harvard Professor Doris Sommer, and facilitated by Harvard sophomore Hannah Wilkoff. This innovative approach uses literature and art to help you learn new words, connect language with meaning, and become more confident in expressing your ideas in English.
The program serves as an introduction to our Global Explorers programme (launching in September), which develops language and global leadership skills for children and young people through engagement with arts, culture, literature, and the natural world.
Each session centers around one carefully selected story — “The Tiny Seed” by Eric Carle, “A New House for Mouse” by Petr Horáček, and “What Do You Do With an Idea?” by Kobi Yamada — paired with interactive games, story reading and discussion, art activities, and vocabulary building.
Wednesday 9th July 2 - 5pm ‘The Tiny Seed’ by Eric Carle
Wednesday 23rd July 2 - 5pm ‘A New House for Mouse’ by Petr Horacek
Wednesday 6th August 2 - 5pm ‘What Do You Do With An Idea?’ by Kobi Yamada
An introduction to some of the ideas behind our Global Explorers programme (launching in September) that helps develop the language and global leadership skills for children and young people, through engagement with arts, culture, literature and the natural world.
